Day of the Woman (better known by its re-release title, I Spit on Your Grave) is a 1978 American rape-and-revenge exploitation-horror film. The film received a limited release, with a wider release in 1980.
The film is noted for its controversy and prominent film critics condemned the film for its graphic violence, nudity, obscene language, and lengthy depictions of gang rape which take up 30 minutes of the film's run-time, and the motion picture remains controversial to this day, even being considered to be one of the worst films ever made. The film was named in 2010 one of Time's Top 10 Ridiculously Violent Movies. It was remade that same year. Roger Ebert famously reviewed the film and claimed it to be the "worst film ever made" and a "vile bag of garbage". He gave it the rare score of 0 of 4 stars.
